Terrific autumn colours especially round the lakes. Friendly staff. It wasn’t the best weather but the autumn hues still shone through the grey.

Gorgeous views , gorgeous gardens , national trust friendly, only thing is you need to book your parking or you'll have to park a few yards away

Hello everyone, this is an exciting time of year to be visiting Sheffield Park as it has such beautiful colours throughout the gardens

We did not visit on the best of days as it poured with rain shortly after we arrived. We were also too early to see the autumn colours but there were a few trees which had changed colour to give us an idea what it would look like it a few weeks

Sheffield Park and Garden in Uckfield is a real gem! We took the family there last autumn and had a blast. The place is lovely, with loads of beautiful gardens and paths to explore. Our daughters had so much fun running around and discovering all the hidden nooks and crannies. The staff were super friendly and the whole place was spotless. We spent hours wandering around, enjoying the scenery and fresh air. It’s the perfect spot for a family picnic or a leisurely stroll. If you’re looking for a fun day out, I can’t recommend Sheffield Park and Garden enough. The gardens are stunning, and there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained. We can’t wait to go back!

Venture to Sheffield Park, this is a National Trust place and is beautiful. The rhododendrons and azaleas are magnificent. From Late June to Sept they have a water Lily displace on their 4 lakes, this I am looking forward to seeing. It is in East Sussex a bit of a journey from London but well worth the distance.

Excellent park and Gardens. Whatever time of year you go, the colour of the flowers and foliage are amazing. The place is so tranquil and a great getaway. I brink my grandson here most Fridays and we always have a great time.

Go in Autumn! It's known for the colours and even on a cloudy day they didn't disappoint. Cafe queue was huge, both outside and the one by the lake so we take your own lunch! Watch out for the peacocks too, stunning. If visiting worth the 2 minute drive round the corner to Bluebell Railway. Can visit the platform and grab a coffee without boarding the trains so makes for a full day out

Huge park and gardens in East Sussex a few miles from East Grinstead. Lakes and ponds,some with water cascades and surrounded by woodlands and gardens. A huge variety of trees and plants and plenty of pathways. Most paths are easy and many are suitable for wheelchair and buggy users. It's possible to hire motorised buggies, some even have two seats. The lakes have a lot of ducks which kids will love, they also come out into the grassy areas around the lakes. You will also see swans geese and coots. In the quieter parts you can hear the songs of many birds. Sheffield Park House can be seen but is a private residence with no public access. There are toilets at reception including a toilet for disabled users. Near to one of the lakes you can buy light refreshments but please note it's cash only. There is a cafe a couple of minutes walk from the entrance. The park is owned by the National Trust, entrance is free to members. You can join for just over £7 per month and gain access to hundreds of sites around the UK. Parking is free for all.

This park, run by National Trust, is at its best in spring when its impressive collection of rhododendron bushes are in full blossom. We came too late for that, but there is still lots to admire in late June. There are several lakes at different levels down the hill and some birdlife. The most notable bird was a colourful peacock wandering around. The original mansion of this estate is no longer part of the National Trust property; it has been converted to apartments, but the house is visible from the gardens.
